RICA Model
Landscpae Model for MASS Design Group
2024
This detailed physical model was created to represent a portion of an agricultural campus in Rwanda, highlighting the relationship between ecology, architecture, and material use.
Commissioned to visually communicate the project's sustainable strategies, the model integrates three core systems: ecosystems, building structures, and material applications. We used layered materials to differentiate terrain, construction techniques, and resource flows, creating a clear and engaging representation of the site’s conservation agriculture principles and architectural vision.
The result is a model that tells a complex story — one of balance between development and stewardship — through careful material choices and spatial clarity.
